Daddys Home!

Goose...cow....duck....come floating through the air. Daddy is sitting on the bed with Hannah, reading her a new book that some wonderful friends in America sent.

Yes, my husband has finally arrived! It has been almost 4 months since he was last seen in Asia, and he was sorely missed. But, the amount of luggage that he brought back with him seems to be worth a bit of separation! Hannah now has books to read, and clothes to wear, and we have not even opened all the suitcases yet! Our friends in America have been incredibly generous, and we appreciate it a lot!Right now, we are in a guest house in Kanchanaburi. I figured that it might be wise for Hannah to have a few days to get to know her new Daddy before heading back to the busy training center. It is a pretty neat guest house. It is floating on the river Kwai, and there are lilly pads floating on the river, and flowering trees hanging over the banks....very peaceful and pretty, and really cheap too! It only costs $9 per night to stay in a place like this. (0ne 0f the benefits of living in Asia!) The downside is that now that we are used to living here, that seems like a lot of money!Andrew is going to be coming to visit us this week, to see his Dad and make the acquaintance of his new little sister. Jason is also coming...hopefully. He had a really close call this week. Micah Haberkam went to the school, and when he didn't see Jason, he went down to Jason's house to find him. He found him all right, wrapped up in a wool blanket with a temperature of 106.5! Micah ran and called for help, and soon Jason found himself being doused with water, and given doses of paracetamol. He is now doing much better with only a temperature of 104. Needless to say, if he were not in the care of a good nurse, I would be up there right now taking care of him instead of sitting in this peaceful setting. When he gets strong enough, he will come down for a nice long convalescence and family reunion.God has been so good to us. We are thankful to be together again as a family, and that our family has grown with the addition of our little daughter. Now we are starting out a new phase of our lives, working for God among the Karen. And, as a nice welcome home...we are told that we can expect soldiers to show up tomorrow at the training center. They are still trying to get rid of all the Karen. So, keep praying!
