On the Home Front

Things are getting exciting around our place. While Roy is helping Travis down at GWM, we are all getting ready for students at our place. I had mentioned to Jason and Roy that I thought that 30 students should be the maximum number that we can accept. I like small classes where we can really get to know each student and do a good job teaching. Even 30 is pushing it. Well, apparently, my guys do not understand the meaning of maximum, since we now have over a hundred students signed up to come!Instead of trembling, we started praying. I simply cannot do all the teaching when I have the little girls to care for. It was not long before God began to answer our prayers. The day before yesterday, Sarah came to join us! She is the best teacher we could possibly ask for, and we are absolutely thrilled that she chose to come. Already, we have started planning what and how to teach...but with one hundred students, I know that God is not finished answering prayers...we still need more teachers!  So, back to our knees we go.The strangest thing happened with the students. Jason told me that he did try to keep the number down to 30 students, but the kids were begging to come.  He told them that we do not have any buildings, but they replied that they will come and do the building for us. He told them we do not have enough outhouses, so the STUDENTS hired two men to come and dig two new outhouses for us. (That happened last week) The students said that they are planning to plant rice fields and grow gardens so that we can afford to feed so many. How can you say no when people are asking for the bible and English with such determination?"The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest." Matthew 9:37-38
