On the Road Again

Out in the jungle, the birds are singing, the girls are working and playing and learning and giggling, Jason is building or making friends, and Roy is teaching school. Life goes on as usual except for one tiny detail...Mom has a visa run again.I am on the road, headed back to America for three weeks. It is such a LONG ways back to America! It starts out with an hour boat ride, followed by an hour songtow ride. I then go to a guest house to put all my clothes in front of a fan and frantically try to catch up on all of my correspondence. Since my back is acting up like crazy, I will rest here until tonight when I get on a big bus and ride all night long to get to Bangkok. I then have 17 hours to do whatever I want in the big frightful city until my plane leaves. 24 hours later, I land in Grand Rapids Michigan. Like I said...It is a long ways back to America! Wouldn't it be nice if we could email ourselves around the world? That would be much easier.Yesterday, when I had to say goodbye to my little ones, Destiny cried her heart out, and Hannah tried to act indifferent, but she had a very sad look on her face. Meme and Memewah don't hide their feelings in the slightest...they want passports, and they want to go too! They cannot understand in the slightest why I can't just go to the store and buy those pesky passports for them. How do you explain to bright, hopeful little girls that they have no country? They are almost sure to be stuck right here for the rest of their lives unless God intervenes. But, there is another country that we can all go to together. On that trip, there will be no pain, and no separation. All of my children want to go there. Won't you join us on that journey to our heavenly home?
